A Legal Disclaimer
1. Quotations and Pricing
All quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
Quotes are based on the information available at the time. If the scope of work changes, additional costs may apply.
Prices are exclusive of VAT unless clearly stated otherwise
2. Scope of Work
The agreed scope of work will be clearly outlined in the quote or contract.
Any extra work requested outside the original scope will be quoted separately and must be agreed upon before proceeding.
We reserve the right to refuse or delay work if access, conditions, or safety requirements are not met on site.
3. Payment Terms
Payment is due within 14 days of the invoice date unless otherwise agreed in writing.
We may require a deposit or staged payments depending on the size and type of project.
Late payments may result in work delays and could incur interest in line with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
4. Cancellation and Delays
If you cancel work after it has been confirmed, we reserve the right to charge for any labour, materials, or costs already incurred.
We are not liable for delays caused by weather, third-party contractors, material shortages, or other factors outside our control.
5. Health & Safety
We follow all relevant health and safety regulations.
Clients and site managers must ensure safe, clear access to the work area during working hours.
Hazards must be disclosed to us prior to starting work (e.g., underground services, asbestos, etc.).
6. Warranties and Liability
We guarantee our workmanship for 12 months from the completion date unless otherwise agreed.
We are not liable for damage caused by third parties, client misuse, or pre-existing site conditions.
Our total liability is limited to the value of the contract.
7. Materials and Ownership
All materials remain the property of WILLIAMS CONSTRUCTION (ESSEX) LTD until full payment has been received.
If payment is not received, we reserve the right to recover materials supplied.
8. Insurance
We hold valid Public Liability Insurance and relevant cover for all work undertaken. Certificates are available upon request
9. Disputes
In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to attempt resolution in writing before pursuing legal action.
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales.
